38 Microsoft Flight Simulator – FSRadioPanel and Mobiflight

The Radios & Autopilot Panel Project I had been working on in 2020 performs well with FSX. I had not yet had a chance to test it with Microsoft Flight Simulator though … until now.

I can gladly confirm it works well with MSFS.

What’s needed is an Arduino Mega, some digital encoders, push buttons with built in LED and 7-segment displays, and a license for the FSRadioPanel app.

The Android tablet of course is made to be removable. It slides into a slot in te woodwork.

This is how it looks on the desk. Assuming you already own an Android tablet the total cost of building this DIY Radios & Autopilot panel is about $60,-.

There’s a series of articles and videos covering every step from beginning to end: link to the complete series.

The video shows how the Radios & Autopilot Panel works with MSFS 2020 in a fligth over the Portuguese Algarve.

This article and video about a DIY Radios and Autopilot Panel is part of a series on Flight Simulator Navigation for Microsoft Flight Simulator, FSX, X-Plane, Prepar3D.
